SpectreSoundStudio s is lying about pickups. Straight up. And while I m not into videos trying to start drama, I ve had enough of Glenn s endless rounds of clickbait trash. He s made multiple versions of the exact same video claiming that pickups don t make a difference in high gain metal tone and I felt compelled to make a response as I find this laughably easy to disprove. In this video I use my own older material to prove he s being dishonest with examples that are clear and obvious. There are also subtle differences in his own video and he conveniently ignores that double tracking will make those subtle differences far more obvious. Besides the tonal differences, there s also a change in articulation and the way an amp responds depending on the output levels of different pickups. His choice to ignore the changes in articulation might actually annoy me far greater than the bigger differences in tone due to the fact that he s an audio engineer and all great engineer s
