Bye Beneco Devl Eyes ( Official Music Video)
The menacing sensation of popsynth is beautifully underpinned by the optimistic, escapist nature of disco. This very duality is the foundation of what Devl Eyes is uncovering. Birthed in a confined space during South Africas first nation wide lockdown, the song reflects the impulses one wrestles with during this oddly serene period spent strictly indoors. Surfacing urges to be bad momentarily in order to experience a little relief, and maybe even some reckless fun, in a world where our existence feels tracked and monitored. The video was shot with minimal crew under strict Covid19 regulations. The band members worked alongside director YingPoi De Lacy on her early 2000s Canon camcorder with Angie Durrant Batis on BTS.
