Putin 2021 Annual Address: Pandemic, Economy Security

For more: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday held his annual endofyear media conference. The traditional inperson format made a return this year after the 2020 event was held virtually due to the pandemic. Putin focused on domestic issues like the economy and the coronavirus, as well as on foreign policy. He said Russia seeks to avoid conflict with Ukraine and the West. He also hailed ChinaRussia relations, adding that Moscow will work on deepening ties with Beijing in trade, climate action, space exploration and more.
