France entering Le Havre. Showing Ariel views and interiors of the ship. The ton liner was 1, 035 ft long The longest passenger liner in the world until Queen Mary 2 in 2004. She was four feet longer than the Queen was able to carry 2044 passengers. She could sail up to 35 knots. She was later turned into the SS Norway in 1980. Her demise started when one of her boilers exploded in 2003 and she was retired in 2004, ending a 42 year career. Then scrapped in 2008 at the age of 46 years old
