Relaxing sounds at the cabin at the lake

Today, we are thinking about our recent trip to our tiny cabin located on the shore of a nearby lake. The secluded cabin is a great place to get away from the stress and anxiety the work week brings our way. Our cabin is a twobedroom affair, with a great room that features a huge stone fireplace. Even though it is still summer, the fall chill is in the air, and we love lighting a fire, as the glow lights up the entire space. We grab a drink, and sit on the front porch, mere feet away from the placid lake. The final light of the setting sun hits the tops of the evergreen trees, with a few rays of light reflecting off of the lake. All around us can be heard the sounds of nature birds singing to one another, frogs getting in their last calls of the season, and insects buzzing quietly nearby. There is a red fox that lives near here, and if one sits quietly enough, it will make an appearance along the shore, looking at us and the cabin with curiosity before scampering into the darkening forest.
