Sleeping Beauty: I woke up today, hungry Not so much a pitt, more a void how long had I been slumbering to have forgotten that I enjoyed the taste of honey money only bought pills that toyed with reality time melting in my abandoned municipality my darkened, sleeping life a carpenter sharpens their knife to shape my collarbones like bridges to my tired heart nape of my neck, a cobblestone road to my skull, my lucidity departed it left down that road long ago through skin like snow the summers glow long now faded tripped up the steps on drowsy meds I hit my head but nothing hurts my nerves abated I didnt kill the dragon I fell asleep and dreamt I had slayed it But, to stay in darkness Ive debated I wish they knew how much I hate it Wish they knew how long Ive waited To leave this kingdom Ive created Once my home now agitated The fear it came, it
