I think I played this thing for fifteen minutes with a snarl on my face the entire time It has the sort of punchy, cutting tonality that practically compels you to dig in and play nasty. However, it is still quite dynamic instrument, and you can cop lots of mellower, smooth tones when you ease off and let the guitar cry, so to speak. The attack can get quite percussive and biting when you dig in, making it tremendously inspirational for aggressive rhythm playing. Both singlecoils have cutting, quacking upper mids to go with deep, brassy lows and glassy, sparkly high end. By contrast, the bridge bucker has plenty of midrange bite and snarl to go with tight lows and sweet, singing highs.
