Annette: Marion Cotillard on the Challenges of Singing Live on Set
This past week, I had the pleasure of speaking to Oscarwinning actor Marion Cotillard about her new movie, Annette. In the film, Cotillard plays Ann, an acclaimed opera soprano whos in a relationship with the jealous, egotistical standup comedian Henry McHenry (Adam Driver). Together, they parent Annette, whos depicted as a small puppet child who has the unusual ability to sing beautifully when light shines on her. For more on the film, you can check out my review.
