Elgar Salut d Amour Op. 12, violin sheet music, piano accompaniment

In 1888, Edward s future bride Alice Roberts wrote a poem entitled Love s Grace, dedicated to his future husband. In return, Edward turned the poem in to a piece of music, Liebesgruss (Loves Greeting). Later translated to France Salut d Amour by the publisher. They married a year later. Tahun 1888, calon istri Edward Elgar, Alice Roberts menulis sebuah puisi untuk calon suaminya berjudul Love s Grace. Edward membalas puisi itu dengan menggubah puisi tersebut menjadi sebuah karya musik yang diberi judul Liebesgruss (Loves Greeting). Kemudian karya ini diubah judulnya menjadi Salut d Amour oleh penerbitnya.
