Medusa started her life as an ordinary woman before she was cursed by the jealous goddess Athena due to her beauty. Medusa s cursed form was half human, half serpent. Her head was crowned with venomous snakes and her eyes turned any man to stone if they beheld her gaze. She was banished to a cavern on the edge of the world. Not content, Athena sent many heroes into Medusa s lair in attempt to slay her once and for all. I want to depict her as a strong character, fighting for her survival against a tide of assassins.
