Band Weaving Drawloom for Baltic Pick up Weaving

I built this band weaving drawloom in 2021 as an experiment. I wanted to see if I could add a drawloom attachment to an existing loom. The results indicate that this is a practical approach. My drawloom allows me to create complex Baltic Pickup style bands without the tedious handpicking of threads associated with the traditional methods using backstrap looms. For the band in the video, I was inspired by the belts (jostas) from the Lielvārde region of Latvia.
