Boom Boom John Lee Hooker live on the set of the Blues Brothers (full version)
This is a bootlegged recording (unknown origin) of John Lee Hooker playing Boom Boom with Muddy Waters band live on the set of the Blues Brothers. This is the version that would end up the the film, albeit edited down for time and mixed differently. They elected to record Hooker playing live as it suited his fluid performing style rather than having him lip sync over a studio recording. It certainly plays tribute to the heritage of the iconic Maxwell Street in Chicago, famous for many Blues performances by legends of the genre.
