This is a strong presentation of this simple and traditional fist. What it represents and shows is the strong, very ancient looking aspect of Shaolin which has become the official look of Shaolin. This is somewhat unfortunate to our minds because it denies the sophistication Shaolin developed in the latter centuries. This threatens to make Shaolin a relic rather than a style.
