Volvo Trucks go underground with the Irish Salt

Kilroot, Northern Irelandbased, Irish Salt Mining Exploration Co. Ltd has put two Volvo FMX 6x6 rigids into operation, where the trucks will operate almost exclusively 460 metres underground in in the companys salt mine. Supplied by Damian Kerin, Sales Executive at Dennison Commercials Ltd, the 3, 900mm wheelbase FMX 6x6 rigids are powered by Volvos D13K engine rated at 420hp.
