Finnish Face of Fascism RT Documentary
During the Great Patriotic War (19411945), the Finns committed atrocities on the territory of Karelia, northern Russia. There had been a radical plan to establish the Greater Finland, to include all FinnoUgric nations under the Finns, says historian Sergey Verigin. During the four years of occupation, they built dozens of concentration camps for Slavs, places of detention for prisoners of war and jails. According to official data, about 25, 000 people passed through this camp archipelago. The Finns justify their actions with a floating log theory. They believe that their country was involved in World War II as a log gets pulled into the fastflowing northern rivers. Watch our premiere Finnish Face of Fascism. , premiere, documentary, history
