Ever After Gown: Creating a Renaissance Giornea ( Overdress)

Follow me on Instagram to see what Im currently working on This video is the fourth of a series constructing my favorite gown from Ever After (1998) starring Drew Barrymore. This movie has been a favorite of mine since childhood. In this video I will creating the overdress (giornea) using Period Patterns No. 41 View V with some alterations. This costume in the film closely resembles a 1490s, 1500s Italian Renaissance gown, and Im using portraits from the period to try to make this look more historical. What I want to do with the project is create a gown that replicates this costume as much as possible, while trying to stay with a more historically accurate approach.
