Conserving the King Arthur Tapestry
Follow the conservation treatment of King Arthur from the Nine Heroes Tapestries series, among the oldest in The Mets collection. The tapestry had not been treated since 1949, when it first came into The Mets collection. Watch as conservators clean, stabilize, and reweave fragile areas of the work, finally reinstalling it at The Cloisters where it is now on view in gallery 18.
