LIVE: France goes into third lockdown to fight COVID 19 surge

French President Emmanuel Macron addressed the French nation on Wednesday, March 31, concerning the tightening of restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID19 amid a rising infection rate. Measures currently in place in certain parts of the country will be extended nationwide for four weeks. A countrywide curfew will be in place between 19:00 and 06:00 (17:00 04:00 GMT), while schools will close for at least three weeks. Meanwhile all nonessential shops are to close, and travelling more than 10km (six miles) from home without a good reason is to be banned.
