Nature Is Fucking Lit

This time lapse video of a cicada molting took about two hours to record. It had just come out of the ground and climbed up the branch of a small bush to molt, or shed its exoskeleton. My favorite parts are when the eyes appear and when the wings unroll, so don t miss that. Special thanks to my dog for letting me know cicadas were coming out of the ground by bringing one, unharmed, into the house. I barely had enough time to get set up to record before the magic started happening.
