Looking at a Naked Man by Christina West
For 6 months, artist Christina West occupied a formerly vacant space in downtown Atlanta. Called the South Dwntn Residency, this opportunity gave her the resources and freedom to challenge her practice build whatever the space inspired. Looking at a Naked Man is the culmination of her experience at 186 Mitchell St. The installation includes Christinas first foray into video made during multiple sessions with one male model. The videos were filmed onsite and the presentation of those videos determined how Christina altered the space. The exhibition is as much about the act of looking as it is about the subject of our gaze. Please be advised: This show contains cismale nudity Walkthrough video by Ben Goldman
