How to Make an Improved French Marking Gauge

Ten years ago, I made a video on how to make a French style marking gauge (link below). The gauge I made in this video was based on an article written by my friend Dean Jansa in an issue of Popular Woodworking Magazine (link below). In the ten plus years since I made this video, I realized some improvements that could be made to bring this gauge out of the 18th century and up to contemporary standards. So in todays video, Ill show you how I make my improved version of the French marking
