Acer Monitor Fires Investigated: Blown Capacitors on Acer XV340 CK

Claims of Acer s XV340CK (Pbmiipphzx) catching on fire caught our attention recently. We bought 4 of these monitors (including 2 that burned up) to try and identify the cause and incident rate. We inspect the power board of each for the point of failure (it s the same), then buy two retail units that are brand new to attempt to recreate the issue.
