The Chinese army has just started the largescale military exercises, reportedly striking targets in the eastern Taiwan strait. This comes as the US tries to downplay House Speaker Nancy Pelosi s recent visit to Taiwan, saying there is no reason for Beijing to make some sort of crisis of it. RTs Nikki Aaron explains.
