Aguirre The Wrath Of God 1972
La colaboración más famosa y respetada entre el director del New German Cinema Werner Herzog y su frecuente protagonista, Klaus Kinski, este drama histórico épico fue legendario por la arduo trabajo de la filmación local y la obsesión celosa y convincente empleada por Kinski para tocar el Título del rol. Exhausta y casi admitiendo el fracaso en su búsqueda de riquezas, la expedición 165051 del conquistador español Gonzalo Pizarro (Alejandro Repulles) se atasca en las impenetrables junglas del Perú. Como un último esfuerzo para localizar el tesoro, Pizarro ordena a un grupo que busque señales de El Dorado, las legendarias siete ciudades de oro. Al mando están un trío de nobles, Pedro de Ursua (Ruy Guerra), Fernando de Guzmán (Peter Berling) y Lope de Aguirre (Kinski). Viajando en balsa de río, los exploradores son asediados por nativos hostiles, enfermedades, inanición y aguas traicioneras.
