Yoga for Office Workers is a class for alllevels and is great for beginners. If you sit in a chair for much of your day or if you drive a lot, many times the lower back starts to ache. Whenever we re sitting or standing, the spine compresses and the lower spine takes on much of the weight. Sitting also tightens the hip flexors (or iliopsoas which is the attachment of the thigh to the pelvis and lower back) and as these muscles tighten, the stress on the lower back increases, causing discomfort or pain.
