NG 16 Antares launches S. S. Ellison Onizuka Cygnus
A Northrop Grumman Antares 230+ rocket launched the CRS16 Cygnus spacecraft, dubbed Ellison Onizuka, from MARS Pad 0A, at NASAs Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Virginia, on 10 August 2021, at 22:01 UTC (18:01 EDT). For NASAs Commercial Resupply Services2 (CRS2) NG16 mission, Cygnus delivers approximately 3720 kg (8, 200 pounds) of research, crew supplies, and hardware to the International Space Station and is scheduled to arrive on 12 August 2021. The NG16 Cygnus Cargo Delivery Spacecraft is named in honor of Ellison Onizuka, the first Asian American and the first person of Japanese origin to reach space.
