Building a Saxon House with Hand Tools: THE PIT, Bushcraft Project ( PART 2)

We continue building a bushcraft saxon house using hand tools. In part 2 we dig a pit and make log walls for the perimeter of the saxon house. We use a 100 year old hand tool called a mattock to help dig through the soil. We then used a shovel and spade to get through the soil layer and down to the gravel.
