Ep 2 Bread The first single from butter is Bread (butter version) with Seu Jorge

Still cant believe Im typing that Having a song with Seu Jorge one of the greatest honors of my career. I went to Carnegie Hall last year to hear him sing all the classic bossa nova songs, and my heart melted. His voice is the epitome of butter. When we were in the studio together shortly after, I was astounded by his generosity. He shared so much wisdom with us about Brazilian culture, both beautiful and tragic. And then as we were recording, when I asked him if hed prefer to sing in Portuguese, he told me how important it was to him that in fact I am the one to sing in Portuguese. He brought up a video of Bruce Springsteen singing in Portuguese and explained to me how impactful it is for American artists to learn and respect the language, since its usually the other way around.
