When we came to 1937, I remember having to tell the colour photographers that we couldn t have a coloured film, so, of course, we had the black and white. And next, month, in the Abbey, you will in fact, apart from the broadcast, have black and white, still, black and white, movie, three different companies running colour, films, and still colour photography; and it s an extraordinary advance, and I tremble to think where it may lead, in the years ahead.
