Shelby GT350: A Carroll Shelby Legacy Pebble Beach Week

One of the classes at this year s 65th Pebble Beach Concours d Elegance celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Shelby GT350. The Shelby GT350 was the result of a unique collaboration between the Ford Motoring Company and Carroll Shelby. Starting in 1965 in a factory in Southern California, Shelby took semicompleeted Mustangs and boosted them from 271 to 306 horsepower, mated that to a close ratio transmission from his Cobra, and added heavy duty suspension parts and a fiberglass hood.
