A Tribute to Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands

Although I am a Second Life avatar, the real life me lived in The Netherlands for a while and came to appreciate Dutch history. Queen Wilhelmina reigned from 18981948, for 50 years. What makes her so remarkable is that she effectively ran a government in exile in London during the Second World War, when her country was overrun by the Nazis. Her picture was a symbol of the resistance. She returned to the Netherlands in 1945, and abdicated in favor of her daughter, Princess Juliana, in 1948, who became Queen Juliana. She is also the Grandmother of Queen Beatrix, the current Queen. I made this video for her using a collection of stills set to The National Anthem of the Netherlands.
