Pour imaginer dépasser les performances de lélectronique actuelle, loptimisation ne suffit plus, il nous faut changer drastiquement dapproche. Ceci requiert de nouveaux matériaux pour repousser les limites de performances des composants. Le graphène est un matériau nouveau très prometteur et pourtant très quotidien puisquil est le composant de base des mines de crayons. Mais transparent, conducteur et flexible à la fois, il ouvre de nouvelles possibilités technologiques. Plus encore, il est le pionnier dune famille à part : les matériaux à deux dimensions, dépaisseur monoatomique. Devenue chercheur après une formation dingénieur et un doctorat en Physique, Laëtitia mène ses recherches sur les nanotubes et le graphène à lInstitut Néel (CNRSUGA). Depuis 10 ans, elle explore les apports des matériaux de basse dimensionnalité pour la nanoélectronique et loptoélectronique.
