Arti s jealousy comes to the fore at Suraj s birthday party when her friend Anuradha (Rati Agnihotri), who is also in love with Suraj, gifts him a rose. In the song Arti, jealous of the attention he gives to Anuradha, accuses Suraj of being unfaithful to her after showing her beautiful dreams of togetherness, but is grateful that he has learnt to be loyal towards another. Realising where she is coming from, Suraj gets more attentive towards Arti, which she flaunts towards Anuradha through her facial expressions. Pighalta Aasman is the story of Delhibased businesswoman Arti Singh Rathod (Rakhee), who lives a wealthy lifestyle along with her grandmother and friend and employee, Anuradha (Rati Agnihotri). She decides to travel to Kashmir and take possession of a piece of land that is being occupied by Suraj Arora (Shashi Kapoor). Once in Kashmir, Suraj and Arti fall in love with each other. Soon Arti finds out that Anuradha, too, is in love with Suraj, and how the situation creates complications and awkward
