Pakeezah (1972) Starring: Meena Kumari as Nargis and Sahib Jaan, Pakeezah Ashok Kumar as Shahabuddin Veena as Nawab Jaan Raaj Kumar as Salim Ahmed Khan The film starts off with Nargis, a tawaif or courtesan, who elopes with her lover Shahabuddin. But after her encounter with her lover s father and spurned by him due to her social status, she runs away and lives out the rest of her life in a graveyard where she gives birth to a daughter named Sahib Jaan. Later on Nargis s sister, Nawab Jaan, learns of Nar
