Lift Every Voice and Sing A Cappella ( Berklee We Will Rise Summit)
Amanda Bradshaw s arrangement of Lift Every Voice and Sing originally written as a poem by James Weldon Johnson and later set to music by his brother John Rosamond Johnson. Lift Ev ry Voice considered the Black National Anthem is a masterpiece born out of the Black experience and has served as a beacon of hope, perseverance, and strength for those disenfranchised folks over the last 100+ years. As we face challenging times in our world, we turn to this hymn to direct our path and regalvanize our efforts in creating a better place where each of us have our full humanity. This arrangement was part of the We Will Rise Summit: Black Artists and the Soul of Our Music. Watch the full event here: Lift Every Voice and Sing (R. Johnson and J.
