Monstera sp Peru Houseplant Care 140 of 365
This Aroid has been popularly called (though misnamed) as Monstera karsteniana. I always liked that species name, (even though it was erroneous), largely because it reminded me of Karst topography, which I thought was fitting given the coriaceous, topographic nature of the Monstera sp. Peru leaves. I also don t know why this hasn t gotten a proper species name yet, as it s quite a popular plant in the market (though still hard to find in some parts). Whatever the case, it s the, 140 spot of 365 Days of Plants. The planter is one of those distressed terra cotta pots that I picked up from Chelsea Garden Center here in Brooklyn. I ll be touching upon where this plant is native to, how it grows, where I m growing mine in my home, and other basic care tips. You can check out more of these videos here and on my IGTV homesteadbrooklyn. Featured plant: Monstera sp.
