Pascal Siakam (34 PTS, 18 REB, 5 AST) and Fred VanVleet (34 PTS, 7 AST, 5 REB) became the fifth pair of teammates in NBA history to score 34+ points in a season opener, joining Oscar Robertson, Jack Twyman (1961), Jerry West, Elgin Baylor (1964), West, Wilt Chamberlain (1969) and Kiki Vandeweghe, Dan Issel (1983). The two combined for 68 PTS in the Toronto Raptors 130122 OT win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
