ALICE THE PEACEMAKER is a blackandwhite silent short film created and directed by Walt Disney. It features live action segments paired with animated sequences. It was released on August 1, 1924. Alice tries to make two rival newsboys friends by telling them a story of a cat and a mouse whose constant battlings lead to being hunted by the police, when they learned to cooperate. It stars Virginia Davis as Alice, and Tommy Hicks and Leon Holmes.
