Full title reads: Italy. The Market Square their Racecourse Italian Royal Family and vast concourse at The Palio of Sienna, held annually since the middle Sienna, Italy. Members of the Italian Royal Family look on from a balcony. Men dressed in medieval costume stand in the Market Square. Some are dressed as knights. Some of the men display their skills at twirling and throwing flags. Dark shots of the famous (and somewhat cruel) Palio. Horses are raced around the Square watched by massive crowds. The horses start. They come hurtling around one corner. More views of the race, some high angle shots show the scale of the crowd. People run out to congratulate the winner.
