Titles read: NOW Pathe Pictorial presents (CHICK) FARR AND FARRLAND in A POLITICAL MEETING The scene is the Parish Hall at MudcombeontheSplosh . Pathe Studio, London. On a set dressed to look like a town hall we see a handful of people sitting in chairs while Farr and Farrland sit on a platform. One of them introduces the other at the political candidate Percy Perriwinkle. The other gets up and waffles on in a speech that doesn t really mean anything, mentioning the national interest and pooling resources. People in the audience look mystified. A man in the front row asks if Percy has any tickets. After a lot of crosstalk we realise the man thinks Percy is talking about the National Sweepstake when he refers to the national interest. More crosstalk, and the other man on the platform joins in, talking about favourites in the Derby verus the favourites in the Grand National. Another man in the audience approaches Percy and tells him not to worry about the arguments, then pinches a roll o
