Sportshots Sporting Ladies (1933)

This week Charles Eade introduces Britain s Sporting Location of events unknown. M, Ss of ladies in Victorian costume in a garden; Charles Eade says he is talking about modern sportswomen and asks for the picture to be changed. Various shots of women in sports kit marching through a park or garden (could be Hyde Park in London ) and doing exercises in formation. A large crowd watches. Several nice shots of women preparing for a race having their legs massaged and taking off jumpers. M, Ss of women running in races before the crowd; some shots are in slow motion. Girls taking the long jump and throwing the discus are seen in long shot. In normal speed we see a walking race and a hurdle race (one girl runs straight into the fourth hurdle).
