Smile ( Pre Queen Group) Reunion in 1992 Full Set
Formed in the 1960s the group Smile was the embryo of the band that later would become Queen. The group lined up Queens guitar and Drummer, Brian May and Roger Taylor, with the bass and vocals of Tim Staffel. The band made just modest sucess but was enough to call atention of the young Freddie Mercury, a huge fan who sugest get into the band when Staffel leave in 1970. The rest is history. In 1992, in a special christmas gig from The Cross, Roger Taylor project, the former band members of Smile reunite on stage 22 years later. The band has the boost of other Cross members (with exception of Josh McCrae who leave the drums for Roger Taylor). The group played two songs Earth, original composition of Smile wholl later would be included in the first album of the prog rock group Morgan (wich has Staffel on drums and vocal) and If I Were a Carpenter , R n B classic wich was a constant in Smile live set.
