German Army, NATO. Powerful Leopard 2 tanks and armored vehicles of the German army in Lithuania

More German troops and equipment have arrived in Lithuania following NATOs decision to increase presence on the Alliances eastern flank. Over 200 soldiers from Germanys 413 Light Infantry Battalion and 50 vehicles disembarked at the port of Klaipeda on 5 October 2022. They will be joining the approximately 1, 500 German troops already deployed to the NATO battlegroup in Lithuania, along with forces from Belgium, Czechia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Norway.
