New Mexico flash flood: Thought they were going to drown, father says
A father in Ruidoso, New Mexico described the moment the floodwaters overtook an RV park in the small mountain community. At least three people were killed by flash floods, including a fouryearold girl and a sevenyearold boy. Jason Fulcher said his wife was praying together last night, worried about their own children, because they thought they were going to The Rio Ruidoso rose to a recordbreaking 20 feet, which is five feet higher than its previous record, the village said. The situation was so severe in the popular summer retreat that an entire house was caught on camera being swept downstream.
