Churchill At River Crossing (1945)
Unused, unissued material dates and locations unclear or unknown. Probably Germany, 1945. Prisoners of war on open craft crossing a river. They walk off, helping one another (most are wounded). An Allied soldier seems to be taking a bag from a German soldier perhaps he is just checking it. Prime Minister Winston Churchill arrives at battlefield. He is taken to troops in a field on a tank. He climbs down, speaks to the soldiers and then is driven off in a jeep, followed by several others. Quick shot of amphibious tank crossing river. Churchill climbs up and into the tank. He sits smoking his cigar and is driven along while soldiers walk beside (looks quite funny). Cut to tank coming out of water and onto dry land doesn t look like Churchill is in there now.
