SHOT PUT STORL David Training in Zurich

Is the young German David STORL, the New TIMMERMANN, as some throws coaches already think His linear technique shows a lot a similarities with Timmermann s style and especially a low glide and a great speed across the circle. But since his very impressive world junior record of 22, 73m with the 6kg, he has indeed only achieved 20, 77m with the 7kg. It needs time to build a shot putter. If David will find how to control his speed with the 7kg, he may be able to produce throws at 22m level. In his warm up at the Diamond league meet in Zurich, he was even close to this distance but was then trying too hard when the competition started and had to satisfy with only 20m. Anyways, for London 2012, there is a big chance he could be somebody to watch as a possible contender for the podium.
