Money, Money, Money was recorded in mid May 1976, and is one of Frida s highlights on the Arrival album. Lyricist Bjorn felt that the theme had already been used in a few other songs, notably Money Makes The World Go Round in the recent film Cabaret. His alternate title was Gypsy Girl. But he had to concede the lyrics did not work as well as with the original money theme. Money, Money, Money was a hugely successful single, hitting no. 1 in Australia, Germany, Holland, New Zealand, Belgium and Mexico.
