Advancing with Watercolor: Creating Mood with Color The Bell Tower at Dawn
This video looks at using color to create a mood in your paintings. One of the qualities of paintings which I love is the mood that they generate inside me when Im looking at them. I have thought about this in relation to my own painting and how my choices effect the mood. Color plays a large roll and so does tone. The use of lights and darks within a painting. So its not just a choice of red yellow or blue but how dark or how we gray these colors that contributes to the mood in a painting. music Gold by Rob Simonsen part of iPhotos memories collection A list of materials used in this video Cancel Smith Watercolors Windsor and Newton watercolors Yellow ochre cobalt blue, Neutral tint Holbein Transparent Watercolor, Cad Orange Red Paper Saunders 140 rough 9x12
