Jellyfish Invasion in San Diego

My friends and I encountered a moon jellyfish bloom in Mission Bay, San Diego on April 23, 2016. There must have been thousands. We almost called off our paddle board trip, because we obviously didn t want to get stung. Apparently, however, moon jellyfish rarely sting humans.
