How College Fails Us: Reimagining Higher Education, Leah Goodman, TEDx Rush U

Students today have inherited substantial social, financial, and mental health stressors, and educational institutions have inherited the responsibility of changing the system to build a better future. As we prepare students to become engaged, successful contributors to a rapidly changing, global community, I believe it is time to shift the paradigm of education: Reimagine, redefine and rebuild higher education. In order to support students, fulfill the mission of educational institutions, and develop the future leaders of our world, we must also reimagine what it means to educate them: Reimagine universities that holistically support students, invest in mental health services, deliver innovative curricula, prioritize student well being, foster diverse communities, ensure equity, and cultivate curiosity.
